Centennial Year: Gratitude and Promise

We celebrate our Centennial year with gratitude and a sense of promise. We are grateful to God, to Mother Mary Joseph who led the way, and to you, our partner, who shared this mission journey with us for the past 100 years.  We have great hope that together we continue to respond to the challenges of our day: making God's love visible through service to the poor, care for the earth, and contemplation in action.

The following day, individuals and small groups will visit Congressional offices. Others in our group may be interested in visiting the State Department and the White House. Centennial Liturgical Concert (May 20, 2012, 2 pm)
A liturgical concert will be held at Maryknoll, NY to commemorate Maryknoll's founding more than 100 years ago.  The concert is open to the public in gratitude for the generosity which supported 100 years of mission service across the world.
The concert, from 2-3:30 p.m., features performers David Haas (Beatitudes), Marty Haugen (Mass of Creation), and Michael Joncas (Maryknoll-commissioned Missa ad Gentes)

The concert is sponsored by the Maryknoll Sisters Center Communities but will be held at the Maryknoll Fathers Chapel, due to space considerations.  An "admission fee" of a non-perishable food item for neighboring food centers will be welcomed.
Music resources will be available for purchase.
