The fifth film in Maryknoll's International Film Festival is "The Wedding Banquet," a Taiwanese movie released in 1993 by director Ang Lee. The theme of this year's film festival is "life through death: the redemptive capacity of humor." Movies screened during the festival remind us of humor's capacity to sustain us through life's difficulties. Each screening is introduced by a Maryknoll missioner, who also leads a discussion at the end of movie. Each film begins at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free. Come, enjoy and reflect on our faith through the art of film.
