Interfaith Harmony Prayer Service To Be Held March 25 at Maryknoll

Ossining, NY. Representatives from at least eight distinct faith groups, including Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, Presbyterian, Episcopal, the Bruderhof and Roman Catholic, will convene for a special Interfaith Harmony Prayer Service on Sunday, March 25, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Annunciation Chapel, Maryknoll Sister Center, 10 Pinesbridge Rd., Ossining, NY.

Sister Hyun Jung Kim never planned on being a nun, particularly not a Roman Catholic one.  Raised in Inchon without any particular religion, her family came from Buddhist roots and instilled in her a care for others that drove her into a career in social services. That caring heart, coupled with a desire to make a difference in the world, brought her life’s path across some Maryknoll Sisters, whose genuine concern for people made her want to be one of them.
