Work with women – mothers all – has been a priority for us from our first days in China when our Sisters went “two by two” to be with mothers and their families in the villages.
This outreach continues today as we work with mothers to ensure that their families can be well cared for. Sister Nena Heramil in Panama visits families and works with the mothers to assess their need of housing and ways to provide good food for their children.
Together with you, we echo Pope Francis’ words that “in today’s fragmented world, where we risk losing our bearings, a Mother’s embrace is essential.” Thank you for continuing to help us make this embrace possible for so many.
