November Apppeal 2025

As Thanksgiving approaches, we’re given the time to gather with our loved ones and give thanks to God for the blessings we’ve received this year. This period of reflection also allows us to recognize the plight of many who live in situations of need and that “the love of God’s love impels us” (2 Cor 5:14) to respond by sharing what we have with them. Sister Dee Smith’s mission work in Guatemala, helping those with AIDS through Proyecto Vide (Project Life), is an example of how we can respond with God’s love this season.

Proyecto Vida provides people with care, comfort, dignity, and support that they would often not receive elsewhere. The organization also works to help re-integrate people into society after a diagnosis and treatment plan. One of the biggest challenges people with HIV+ face is maintaining proper nutrition. Due to extreme poverty in the region, many of the people– and their children –suffer from malnutrition.

Help Those Living With HIV/AIDS

Help Sister Dee Smith and the rest of the Maryknoll Sisters continue their mission in feeding those in need! Sr. Dee Smith asks us,

“As we move into the future, we constantly ask for support and strength in our work. Our team is faith-filled and our hope is that one day there will no longer be suffering because of HIV.”

Together we can bring comfort to those living with HIV. We humbly ask to help support Sister Dee Smith and the rest of the Maryknoll Sisters.
